General Notary Questions
What is a mobile notary?
A mobile notary is a commissioned notary public who travels to your location to perform notarizations. I provide convenient, on-site service throughout San Diego County.
What types of documents can be notarized?
I notarize affidavits, power of attorney, real estate documents, healthcare directives, school forms, travel consent forms, and more. If you're unsure, feel free to contact me before booking.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All notary services are by appointment. General notary appointments must be booked at least 12 hours in advance. For urgent needs, you may book an emergency notary or after-hours notary appointment.
Can you notarize documents in a hospital or jail?
Yes. I offer hospital and detention facility notarizations. Please specify the location and any access requirements when booking.
Can you tell me which type of notarization I need?
No. California notaries are not allowed to offer legal advice, including advising which notarization you need. Please contact the issuing agency or a legal professional for guidance.
Identification & Requirements
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
A valid, government-issued photo ID is required. Accepted IDs include a CA driver’s license, passport, military ID, or other state/federal IDs.
Can I use an expired ID?
Yes, if it was issued within the last 5 years. Otherwise, it will not be accepted under California law.
What if I don't have valid ID?
You may bring two credible witnesses who personally know you and are willing to sign a sworn affidavit attesting to your identity.
